Planning is an invaluable and crucial initial step in all projects, whether highly technical and intricate or straightforward, to avoid some of the pitfalls that may occur at the outset of a project. As a licensed professional planner, Wayne T. Bonhag, P.E., P.P., has represented clients in the presentation of projects to planning boards, financial institutions and government agencies. In developing long-term relationships with our clients, especially with phased projects, we assist with the planning and growth that provides our clients with coordinated, successful results. We develop a team approach allowing all parties the necessary input to obtain the required results and outcomes.

Along with planning, programming of the various layouts, adjoining spaces, configurations, systems, and components is important to attaining the proper results for our clients. This programming allows our clients to optimize the space that they configure for any given building structure, as well as the necessary support systems required for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process and fire protection systems.

The following are examples of some of the projects that required creative solutions to achieve the client's requested results:

  • Condominium Facility: Planned for a reserve replacement program for a 27-story high-rise condominium.

  • Corporate Office Park: Assisted in the planning of a 450-acre office park for a Fortune 500 company, including utilities and off-site technical interfaces.

  • Manufacturing Plant: Assisted with planning the layout of a new 85,000 square foot manufacturing plant with many different manufacturing requirements, offices and clean room applications.

  • Office Facility: Planned office complex with state of the art high-speed digital communication systems for over 100 computer stations, lighting, power, HVAC systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) to allow for flexible spatial use.

  • Pharmaceutical Facility: Planned for a wet scrubber to remove VOC's from an air stream that contains alcohol and other particulates. In addition, the plant required an analysis of approximately 75 point source for air emissions. This was all accomplished as a part of the planning and code approval process.

  • School Campus: Planned for a reserve replacement program for a 46 building facility.

  • Wiring Manufacturing Plant: Planned the improvement in the layout of the plant to increase the efficiency and lower the handling of wiring bundles as the orders are processed.
